We’re expanding our program in Bayside – to help encourage Bayside locals to have a chat and reconnect. This expansion is being used as a pilot to potentially enable the roll out of Chatty Cafes across Victoria.
We had our official Bayside launch on Wednesday, 2 February with representatives from Bayside City Council, the Inner South-east Metropolitan Partnership, Neighbourhood Houses and local members of parliament – along with some of our fantastic volunteers, venues and supporters.
In addition to our regular events, we’re hosting in person and online Chatty Café events across Bayside in the coming months. If you want to connect more with your local community, meet new people, or just enjoy the company of others – why not join us!
Chatty Café event – Sandy Beach
When: Tuesday, 15 February from 11am – 1pm
Where: Sandy Beach HQ & Kiosk, 36 Jetty Road, Sandringham
Price: Free muffins and you buy your own coffee or cuppa
Chatty Café event – Bay Road
When: Monday, 28 February from 10am – 12noon
Where: Bay Road Nursery, 112 Bay Road, Sandringham

Chatty Café event – Beaumaris
When: Thursday, 10 March from 10.30am – 12.30pm
Where: Beaumaris Concourse Green, Reserve Road, Beaumaris

Chatty Café host virtual events via Zoom every Monday and Friday from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. These are a great way for you to chat with others and stay connected from the comfort of your home. Everyone is welcome.
