GEALC is a friendly neighbourhood house, Learn Local organisation and Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) provider where people come together to learn, share and connect. We offer a wide range of programs—from English and digital skills to health, wellbeing and community events—all designed to build confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging. Our Centre has a warm, café-style feel with comfortable seating, tea and coffee available, and colourful displays of student artwork that reflect our diverse community. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed chat over a cuppa. We welcome everyone—students, neighbours and community members alike. Many of our learners are new to Australia and love the chance to practise English in a friendly, informal setting, while others simply enjoy connecting with people in their local area. Accessibility and inclusivity are at the heart of what we do, with step-free access, accessible restrooms and supportive staff and volunteers who are always happy to make newcomers feel at home.
