Whittlesea Library

Opening in 2014, Whittlesea Library is situated on the land of the Wurundjeri Wilam peoples. It is like a second home for our members as it provides a lot of heart and a strong country feel.

Located in the Whittlesea Community and Activity Centre, the library offers many welcoming spaces, including an outdoor courtyard with a garden and room for children to play or families to have a picnic lunch. We also have a vibrant children’s area for Storytimes and reading, and a flexible and comforting multipurpose lounge area – whether you’re breastfeeding and want some privacy, or a teen wanting to study or play a game after school. For those looking for a dedicated place to work or study, Council rooms within the Community and Activity Centre can be enquired about via the library or directly by contacting Whittlesea Council. Or in the cold of winter come to visit and enjoy the warm and welcoming fireplace and read a book or newspaper.

Our library offers a variety of events including Storytimes, Tech Help, Justice of the Peace drop-in sessions, and Carer’s Catch Ups.

We love our library and are immensely proud of our strong connection to the local community – we look forward to welcoming you to our boutique library!
